Getting started with retail
Nexio's Retail platform allows you to seamlessly integrate checkout and save card pages into your company's software, all while limiting your PCI scope. For a general overview of the retail features, see Form () in the Getting Started section.
Nexio's retail iframes enable you to save a credit or debit card token for use in recurring billing or one-time payments, and they allow you to process a credit or debit card transaction by keying in the card number or using a terminal.
In addition, you can still do voids, captures, and refunds for retail transactions through the API or the Nexio Dashboard as well as enabling built-in fraud protection services (for more information about these, see Fraud prevention overview).
Retail iframe workflow
Nexio's retail payment forms can be accessed at https://retail.nexiopaysandbox.com and https://retail.nexiopay.com. But you can also create your own integration to the retail iframe.
The general workflow for using a retail iframe includes the following steps:
- Configuring your terminal device:
- Connecting the terminal device to the Nexio merchant account, depending on which method the gateway and terminal supports:
- Pairing the terminal
- Registering terminals (and deregistering as applicable)
- Determining whether and how to customize and prefill the iframe: Customizing the retail iframe
- If wanted, Using simple login for authentication
- If creating your own integration to the iframe, Creating a save card page with the retail iframe
- Processing retail transactions, depending on the type:
