Some alternative payment methods allow you to show messaging to the customer with "pay later messaging". This functions as a short-term subscription for the customer. However, the payment provider fully funds the merchant up front and handles the schedule of transactions for the customer. The payment methods that support this feature are Klarna, PayPal, and PayPal (with Braintree).
