Note

Before getting started in this section, you should already understand all the concepts in Getting started, especially how to authenticate with Nexio. For additional help with this, contact Integrations Support.

1. Determine integration methods

When you integrate to Nexio for ecommerce, you need to decide on the integration method you want. Nexio’s solutions are designed to work together, allowing you to mix and match integration methods to fit your ecommerce site’s specific needs.

  • Iframe - Use a Nexio-hosted form. This option helps to limit your PCI scope, but you don't have as much control over the look and feel. Typically, integrators use this option for pages where customers save payment information.
  • Custom form - Use your own form. This option increases your PCI scope, but you have more control over the look and feel. Typically, integrators use this option for checkout pages where saved payment information is used.
  • Direct to Nexio API - Use your own application to access Nexio's APIs. This integration method is mostly used for software vendors who are adding Nexio as a payment option to their own software.

After you know which integration method you want to use for each page of your ecommerce website, you are ready to get started with implementing with Nexio.
